❤️ Be Kind and Respectful

Every person in a room deserves to feel welcome, safe, and heard.

• Treat all participants the way you want to be treated.
• Disagree constructively — debate ideas, not people.
• Welcome newcomers and help them feel part of the group.
• Respect that others may have different tastes, opinions, and backgrounds.

🚫 Zero Tolerance: Hate Speech & Harassment

We do not allow content or behaviour that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or serious illness. Harassment, threats, and targeted intimidation result in immediate removal and may be referred to law enforcement.

⚠️ Watch Responsibly

• Only share content you have a license to view (your own Netflix account, your own Prime Video, etc.).
• Do not operate WatchTogether as a public re-streaming service or unauthorised commercial broadcast.
• Do not share content involving minors in any sexual or exploitative manner — this is a permanent ban with no appeal.
• Do not share gore, real-life violence, or content designed to shock or harm viewers.

👥 Respect Everyone in the Room

• Ask before sharing someone's image or audio outside the room.
• Do not record other participants without consent.
• Use cameras and microphones courteously — no flashing imagery, no shock content, no audio bombing.
• Honour requests to leave a private room when asked by the host.

✅ What We Encourage

• Hosting movie nights, sports watch parties, study sessions, or community events.
• Reporting behaviour that breaks these guidelines using the in-app report tool.
• Using friend lists and private rooms for closer groups.
• Suggesting features or improvements at hello@watchtogether.watch.
